SCHOOL AGE: BEFORE + AFTER SCHOOL

BEFORE SCHOOL

Arrival Time and Breakfast

6 a.m. - bus arrival

Children are engaged in quiet activities such as reading books, crossword puzzles and coloring. Children eat breakfast and when they finish their meal, they prepare to go outside with teacher to wait on the school bus.

AFTER SCHOOL

Arrival Time

2:15 p.m. - 3:15p.m.

Children arrive from different schools at various times. During this window of time, when children arrive, they are allowed and encouraged to engage in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). Activity Center located in the Auditorium where all School Age Children meet upon arrival.

Afternoon Snack

3:15 p.m. - 3:45p.m.

All School Age children will have a healthy snack. For example: whole grain bread, turkey slice and 100% apple juice.

Clean Up

3:45 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Children and Teachers will clean up from snack(s).

STEM CENTER - UPSTAIRS CLASS ROOM - AUDITORIUM - OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

4:00 p.m. - Closing 6:30 p.m.

During this time, school age children will be in groups based on their age. They will transition every 45 minutes to participate in different Afterschool Activities. For example, the Activity Center (STEM Program), Upstairs Classroom for Sewing, Homework, Reading and Games. The Auditorium for Theatre, reading and games. Outdoor Play for Kick ball, jump rope, throwing balls, running and jumping. Most parents will arrive during this time.

TRANSPORTED HOME BY KOOL KIDZ STAFF

6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Children who receive transportation from Kool Kidz Daycare Center will be transported home during this time.
